I'm giving this to my 1 year old this weekend for the holidays. He watches Elmo on TV and is always mesmerized. I've let him play with this Elmo in the store, and he giggles away with Elmo. I'm not sure though-- who is more entertained by this toy-- me or the baby?! Anyway, I'm sure it'll be appreciated through the years. Toys R Us sells this Elmo for around $24 or $25. BUT you can't always find 'em in store or get 'em online. I think Amazon's price is a bit on the high side, but fair if you want this right away and can't find it elsewhere. You can pay nearly $100 on eBay right now. So, go for it! It's bound to be a hit with your child and, even, YOU!

I was so excited to buy this toy for my daughter who loves Elmo. She is now 17 months old and she still gets freaked out by it. One of our friends recommended buying it as it was very funny. I was quite dissapointed personally. I thought Elmo would say many phrases but he only said one and laughed the whole time, next to vibrating quite strongly. I don't think my daughter liked that and even when you hold him during his attack, it just doesn't feel right.
